Music has been an integral part of Shenneth’s life: whether it was singing with her brothers and sister, doing background studio work for other artists, hanging out in her dad's studio, tireless group practices conducted by her mother, or worshipping at home; this foundation was the inspiration that led her right back to a life of worship and ministry in song.

She was a full-time music minister from 2002 to 2011. After experiencing the loss of her husband thirteen and a half years ago, she decided to take a sabbatical, but worship and her involvement in worship ministry remained a constant and a life-giving source. Apart from the day she made the decision to accept Christ; her husband’s death has shaped her life far more than any single event. However, when she is tempted to question God, his Word reminds her in Romans 11:33-36 that He is a wonderful God and His riches and wisdom and knowledge are so great that it is impossible to understand His decisions and his methods or even know what He is thinking. She and her children have discovered strength they never knew they had. “The Lord is my strength and my song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.” (Exodus 15:2 KJV) It is often in our weakness that His strength is revealed in great measure, and when it seems like we cannot take another step, He is right there … and we do! We make it … because of Him.

While she has remained involved in ministry, it has not been in an evangelical capacity, but recently, a very wise person told her that her wounds did not give her permission to drop her weapons. It made a strong impact on her and changed her perspective! She believes that it is time to embrace DESTINY, yet again, and step into her calling and purpose. She believes it is time to live out loud and on PURPOSE!!
